1. Our commitment

AKR Advisory Services Inc. is committed to making interkinetix.com accessible to the widest possible audience, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, speech recognition software or keyboard-only navigation.

2. Standard we aim for

We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the reference standard cited by the Americans with Disabilities Act guidance and by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

3. Measures taken on this website

• Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark, ordered headings and labelled regions
• A “Skip to main content” link for keyboard and screen reader users
• Visible focus outlines on every interactive element
• Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
• Form fields with permanently associated labels, clear error messages and live status announcements
• Color combinations chosen for readable contrast against their backgrounds
• Layouts that reflow down to small screens without horizontal scrolling
• Respect for the operating system “reduce motion” setting, which disables animation and the automatic carousel
• The services carousel can be operated with its previous and next buttons and with the keyboard

4. Known limitations

Some photographic content is decorative and conveys no additional information beyond the surrounding text. Third-party content, if embedded in the future, may not fully meet the same standard; where that happens we will note it here and provide an accessible alternative on request.
